As a new insurer in the art segment, ARTE Generali sets future-oriented standards in the dialogue between digitalisation and art.
First award ceremony of the Digital Leaders in Art Awards – DLAA
The first official award ceremony of the Digital Leaders in Art Awards – DLAA – took place on 19 November in the live stream of Art Cologne.
The DLAA are a completely new initiative of ARTE Generali; they pursue the goal of supporting galleries, private museums and cultural foundations, together with their respective artist, on the road to digitalisation.
In advance of the art fairs, an exclusive jury selected six nominees from all submissions. From these, the three winners were determined through public voting, which ended on this day.
- Galerie max goelitz ( www.maxgoelitz.com ) presents the “Digital Expansion” virtual project. This breakthrough project allows visitors to enjoy the exhibition by means of Virtual Reality devices and experience artworks in their individual everyday living environment through Augmented Reality.
- Schläger VR – Galerie TWOART proposes a visit to the art space of sound machine artist Christof Schläger ( https://christofschlaeger.de/ ) using Virtual Reality. His art space is a former achine hall where he has lived and worked for the past 30 years and it keeps his sound culptures and installations.
- Office Impart ( www.officeimpart.com ) presents the virtual exhibition "Come Closer!", which creates through the possibility of social interaction a new experience of the digital space. Not only can art lovers visit the exhibition online, but they are also visualized as visitors in real time and can thus meet on the platform and talk to each other via their PC microphone.
These three winning projects are each sponsored with € 15,000. The goal here is to reinforce access to art and creativity in society – even in difficult times.
