ART COLOGNE inspires more spirited debate than any other leading international fair for modern and contemporary art.
The broad spectrum of art it presents — from important modern works to the latest art by today’s artists — provokes conflicting opinions and in-depth discussions in the art world.
For those who would like to add their voices to the dialogue, a visit to ART COLOGNE is a must. We can assure you that the trip to Cologne will be well worthwhile. More than 150 top international galleries, including the leading art dealers from Europe and abroad, will be presenting their offerings in Halls 4 and 5 at the Cologne exhibition centre. In combination with a top-quality special exhibition, art from the 20th and 21st centuries — with a strong emphasis on works by modernist, post-war and contemporary artists — will ensure a fascinating experience and a unique atmosphere for buying art.
The ART COLOGNE programmes “New Talents” and “New Contemporaries” introduce young artists and new galleries to the international art market. And with “Hidden Treasures”, a new programme making its debut this year, ART COLOGNE shows that its scope extends beyond today’s dominant fascination with the contemporary. The programme will feature individual presentations of works by as many as five “hidden treasures” — artists 40 years or older whose works are clearly important from an art historical perspective and thus relevant for today’s art market. And for collectors, this also means desirable art at rather attractive prices.
ART COLOGNE also offers the entire infrastructure and range of services provided by Koelnmesse, one of the world’s largest trade fair companies. Construction at the exhibition centre is still proceeding in high gear.
