ART COLOGNE 2019 application process starts

Exhibitors can apply for ART COLOGNE 2019 effective immediately. The international art fair takes place for the 53rd time in the coming year, from 11 to 14 April. The trade fair starts on 10 April with a preview and vernissage. With a changed hall structure on two levels, ART COLOGNE 2019 will present itself as even more clearly structured, more compact and with a new dynamic. The modern and post-war art sectors will once again be exhibited on the lower level (hall 11). Established galleries for contemporary art can be found on hall level 11.2 as usual. The sector NEUMARKT  for young galleries will also be integrated here for the first time in dialogue with the established galleries. In addition to this, the sector COLLABORATIONS will be expanded for ART COLOGNE 2019. The sector COLLABORATIONS which is dedicated to shared and curated booths, will for the first time be distributed over two hall levels: curated presentations with a historical perspective can be found in hall 11.1, and contemporary COLLABORATIONS in hall 11.2.

About ART COLOGNE

ART COLOGNE celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016. Since its founding in 1967 as "Kunstmarkt Köln" (art market Cologne), it is not only the oldest, but also one of the most important platforms for modern, post-war and contemporary art. The participating international galleries present a wide and high quality offering of modern and contemporary art that spans all price segments and movements. The trade fair presents various sections: GALLERIES modern and post-war art extending to contemporary art, presented by established galleries, NEUMARKT as a section for young galleries (maximum of ten years of age) and COLLABORATIONS for curated presentations of artisitic cooperation. In addition to this, the sponsorship programme NEW POSITIONS makes it possible for young artists to present their works in their own promotional booths next to the stands of their gallery owners. ART TALKS and tours of the trade fair, exhibition openings in galleries, museums and institutions in the Rhineland, as well as high quality award ceremonies, including the Wolfgang Hahn Award and the ART COLOGNE Award, offer a variety of opportunities to acquire more detailed information and to exchange ideas and network at a professional level. International collectors, curators, museum experts, creative people and those interesed in art come regularly to this central art event in Cologne.
